Pentre Ifan Aurora 1

Description

A photograph from the famous May 2024 aurora display. This is captured at Pentre Ifan, a neolithic burial chamber that is believed to have stood on this site for over 5,000 years. Stonehenge, the world famous stone formation in England, was constructed using the very same Pembrokeshire bluestones that made Pentre Ifan, but Pentre Ifan is 1000 years older.

On this night the northern lights were visible across all of Europe where skies were clear. At times, the greens and pinks of the aurora borealis were clearly visible naked eye and created stunning images on camera.
