Carmarthen Photography Workshop

My Carmarthen photography workshop is a 1-to-1 lesson tailored to your shooting ability and style – whatever you want to learn, and whatever you want to shoot. I’m very pleased that many of my clients return to me to learn advanced techniques as their skills develop.

Your lesson will be five hours long, taking in several of Carmarthen’s shooting locations. We begin with a short presentation teaching the theory, then we head out to put these ideas into practice. My belief is that you learn best by doing – I’m with you every step of the way to guide you from finding a shot, composing it, then selecting the right camera settings to capture the moment.

There’s no such thing as a silly question, and I will explain everything to you without jargon. My goal is that you leave the lesson equipped with all the information and motivation you need to take the photos you want.

I’ve been an enthusiastic DSLR shooter for over a decade, and went pro in 2017. My beginnings with photography were humble and my formative years were spent wrestling with equipment that was beyond my skill level, and frustration that I couldn’t get the camera to do what I wanted it to. I realise now that the best investment you can make in photography is not equipment, but experience. You can throw hundreds if not thousands of pounds at camera bodies, lenses, tripods and such… which is all for nothing if you don’t understand how to capture the shots you want. I promise you a friendly and non-judgmental enviroment to practice your craft, ask the questions you need to, and leave inspired to take your photography to the next level.
