Travel Photography Workshop

My travel photography workshop is a two-part class that teaches everything you need to know from my travel photography experience. My work has been featured by tourist boards, TV production companies, magazines, and I sell my best images as prints and canvases.

To date I have reached nearly 70 countries, and shot in a variety of environments and circumstances. From central European blizzards to sunkissed Caribbean islands, and from gleaming skyscrapers to ancient ruins – there’s very little I haven’t encountered on my adventures.

There’s no such thing as a silly question, and I will explain everything to you without jargon. My goal is that you leave the lesson equipped with all the information and motivation you need to take the photos you want.

You can book a lesson for yourself, or as a gift for a loved one. For further information, please use this form to register your interest.

During your first session, before your trip, I teach you how to take the best travel photos in a limited amount of time. My “day job” is working for PhotoHound, a company which makes destination guides for photographers, so I am uniquely placed to teach these things from a professional’s perspective!

  • How to find the best shooting locations
  • Equipment
  • Technique and settings
  • How to shoot in different environments and different styles

We then embark on a photowalk to practice some of the techniques you will be using on your trip and improve your eye for composition.

After your trip, join me for the second session where you will learn about post-processing. This can take place at my home studio in Carmarthen, or at your home editing desk.

  • Post-processing using Adobe Lightroom
  • Image refinements using Luminar and Nik Collection
  • Marketing your photos, selling your photos and finding an audience

Why choose me?

I’ve been an enthusiastic DSLR shooter for over a decade, and went pro in 2017. My beginnings with photography were humble and my formative years were spent wrestling with equipment that was beyond my skill level, and frustration that I couldn’t get the camera to do what I wanted it to. I realise now that the best investment you can make in photography is not equipment, but experience. You can throw hundreds if not thousands of pounds at camera bodies, lenses, tripods and such… which is all for nothing if you don’t understand how to capture the shots you want. I promise you a friendly and non-judgmental enviroment to practice your craft, ask the questions you need to, and leave inspired to take your photography to the next level.
